HYDERABAD: BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) unveiled plans for year-long silver jubilee celebrations to mark the party’s 25th anniversary. Speaking at a meeting with party leaders at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, he announced a massive public gathering on April 27, the party’s foundation day, to officially launch the celebrations.
KCR reaffirmed BRS’s commitment to public welfare and urged party members to oppose what he called the anti-people policies of Congress. He expressed confidence in BRS’s return to power in 2028, claiming that Telangana has regressed under Congress rule.
As part of organizational reforms, KCR introduced new committees, including women’s committees, to strengthen party operations. He appointed Finance Minister Harish Rao to oversee them. A statewide membership drive will start on April 10, followed by a preparatory meeting to plan upcoming plenary sessions.
These initiatives aim to revitalize BRS’s base and boost public engagement ahead of the next elections.
