HYDERABAD, January 31: Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has strongly criticised the Congress government, claiming that people are unhappy under its rule. Speaking at a party gathering, he asserted that BRS would demonstrate its strength and take on Congress directly in the coming days.
KCR expressed disappointment that despite his warnings, people voted for Congress out of excessive expectations. He remarked that schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Dalit Bandhu were sidelined under the new government, adding that those who hoped for gold (Tula Bangaram) ended up regretting their choice.
He pointed out that despite Congress managing polling, BRS still secured a higher voting percentage, proving continued public support. He accused Congress leaders of mismanagement, claiming that if they were to face the public, people would be ready to confront them directly.
KCR also noted that land prices had dropped significantly under the Congress administration, reflecting a decline in economic stability. Calling for a strong response, he urged party workers to prepare for direct action and mass protests. He announced plans for a massive public meeting at the end of February and called on supporters to attend in large numbers.
