Hyderabad: BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao strongly condemned what he described as baseless and misleading reports in certain news channels and social media, alleging he was conducting a Chandi Yagam at his farmhouse in Erravalli.
In a sharply worded statement, KCR rejected the reports as “false propaganda” and clarified that neither his office nor the BRS party had issued any official communication regarding such an event. Despite this, he said, several mainstream news outlets and newspapers had aired the story without verifying facts.
He accused these media organisations of acting irresponsibly and spreading misinformation with the potential to mislead the public. He said such reports were not only untrue but seemed to be a deliberate attempt to damage his personal reputation.
KCR urged editors of all newspapers and TV channels to immediately withdraw the reports and refrain from amplifying similar rumours in the future. He warned that continuing to circulate such unverified news could further erode public trust in media institutions.
