Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed deep sorrow over the death of Prof. Madhusudhan Reddy, a veteran academic, former principal of Osmania University Arts College, and key figure in the Telangana statehood movement.
KCR recalled Reddy’s active participation in the movement not just as a professor, but as an intellectual deeply committed to Telangana’s ideals. He said Reddy played a vital role in shaping public discourse and instilling the spirit of the movement through education and ideological clarity.
Describing him as a first-generation Telangana intellectual with a sharp grasp of the region’s socio-political realities, KCR said Reddy was a voice of the masses and a moral compass during the statehood struggle. He noted his own close association with Reddy during those formative years.
Calling Reddy’s death an “irreparable loss” to Telangana, KCR extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
