Hyderabad: A tipper lorry hit a Pulsar 220 bike at the Majid U-turn in Penuballi mandal of Khammam district on Vijayadashami day, killing a 25-year-old youth and injuring another.
Police said Pediga Sai, 25, and Jallaru Siddharth rode the bike on Kothagudem Road when the vehicle rammed them near Masjid Centre. The collision left both young men with critical injuries.
Youth dies on the way to Khammam after Penuballi accident
Locals rushed Sai and Siddharth to the Penuballi government hospital. Doctors gave them first aid and advised immediate transfer to Khammam for advanced treatment. Relatives shifted them by ambulance. Sai collapsed during the journey and died before reaching Khammam. Siddharth suffered severe head injuries, and doctors in Khammam began further treatment.
The fatal crash plunged Penuballi mandal into grief as residents mourned Sai’s death.
