KHAMMAM: BRS MLC K. Kavitha has claimed that significant development in Khammam district took place during the BRS regime. Addressing a gathering on Sunday, she criticised the Congress government, stating that despite having three ministers, the district has seen no major benefits.
Kavitha accused the Andhra Pradesh government of lobbying with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Banakacharla project. She alleged that previous projects, including Rayalaseema and Pothireddypadu, had already caused losses to Telangana. “The Congress government and its ministers’ decisions will only lead to further damage,” she remarked.
Her comments come amid political tensions between BRS and Congress over irrigation projects and regional development policies in Telangana.
