Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is politically paralyzed and confined to his farmhouse after being upstaged by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, MP Chamal Kiran Kumar Reddy said on Friday. He accused the KCR family of dreaming of looting the state for a third consecutive term, only to be sent packing by alert voters.
Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, Kiran Kumar Reddy dismissed the BRS leadership’s allegations about the recent Delhi meeting on water sharing as deliberate misrepresentation. He said the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti had officially called both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers to Delhi for discussions on inter-state water allocations.
“There was a clear press note from the Centre outlining the purpose of the meeting. But BRS leaders are now conducting press conferences claiming it was about Banakacharla project an outright distortion,” he said.
Referring to recent developments around a man named Kedar who reportedly died of a drug overdose in Dubai, Reddy alleged close ties between Kedar and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao. “Who facilitated Kedar’s investments in Dubai?” he asked, defending Revanth Reddy’s remarks on the matter.
He also attacked the BRS for running a decade-long Assembly with no debate, hiding key decisions even from ministers, and now accusing the Congress of excess deliberation. “For ten years, they ruled without discussion or transparency. Now they want to talk about ‘too much debate’ it’s laughable,” he said.
