HYDERABAD: Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy has accused the Congress government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, of generating more public dissatisfaction in one year than the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) did during its ten-year rule.
While campaigning for BJP’s MLC candidate Sarotham Reddy in Nalgonda on Saturday, Kishan Reddy criticised the Congress for failing to implement its election manifesto commitments. He pointed out that despite promises to release a job calendar and fill 200,000 vacancies by December 2024, the government has yet to take concrete action.
He also highlighted the dissatisfaction among various sections of society, including unemployed youth, students, and employees, due to the government’s inaction on job recruitment, unemployment benefits, and financial aid programs.
Kishan Reddy called upon teachers, intellectuals, and graduates to support BJP candidates – Sarotham Reddy, Malka Komurayya, and Anji Reddy – in the upcoming MLC elections. He emphasised that the BJP is the only party contesting all three constituencies and positioned it as a viable alternative to the Congress and BRS.
He further criticised the Congress administration for failing to address pending dearness allowances, retirement benefits, and fee reimbursement dues, which he claimed have burdened students and parents. According to Reddy, the Congress government has made grand announcements but has not followed through on even minor promises, leading to a loss of public trust.
