HYDERABAD: Union Minister and Telangana BJP president Kishan Reddy addressed concerns regarding the upcoming reorganization of Assembly and Parliament constituencies. He assured that the process would occur without reducing any existing seats.
Kishan Reddy criticized the Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), accusing them of misleading the public about the reorganization. He clarified that the restructuring would be conducted as planned, ensuring that no constituency loses representation. He also reaffirmed that women’s reservations in legislative bodies would be implemented by the next parliamentary elections. Additionally, he announced that a nationwide census would soon take place under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Regarding state politics, Kishan Reddy emphasized that the BJP would actively contest local elections. He accused Congress of following the same governance approach as the BRS and stressed the need for a “double-engine government” in Telangana.
Speaking about the recent MLC elections, he claimed that 90% of women teachers and graduate voters supported the BJP, signaling growing support for the party in the state.
