Kishan Reddy visits Gulzar House fire site, Modi announces ₹2L ex gratia

Hyderabad: Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy visited the site of the Gulzar House fire near Charminar that claimed 17 lives, calling the tragedy “deeply disturbing”. He met with officials on ground and directed them to ensure all medical aid and necessary assistance for the injured.

Kishan Reddy extended condolences to the bereaved families and said he was praying for the swift recovery of those injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reacting to the incident, expressed grief and announced financial assistance. Each family of the deceased will receive ₹2 lakh as ex gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. Those injured will be given ₹50,000 each.

Modi said he was “deeply anguished by the loss of lives” and conveyed sympathies to those who had lost loved ones.
