Hyderabad: Minister for Roads and Buildings (R&B) and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the R&B Engineers’ Association. He promised ongoing support for the department and praised engineers for their role in strengthening it.
The association’s new executive committee met Komatireddy at his camp office in Hyderabad. They thanked him for resolving long-pending service matters and for acting on their demands.
Komatireddy cites record promotions as proof of commitment
The Minister said the department had achieved transparent, large-scale promotions, something not seen in other government wings. By convincing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he said, the government cleared service rules and ended delays in regular promotions.
In a single phase, 118 Assistant Executive Engineers moved up as Deputy Engineers. Another 72 Deputy Engineers became Executive Engineers. In addition, 29 Executive Engineers rose to Superintending Engineers, six Superintending Engineers became Chief Engineers, and two Chief Engineers advanced to Engineer-in-Chief. “When you brought me these issues, I promised to deliver. I have kept my word,” he said, adding that more promotions in other cadres would follow soon.
Engineers asked to uphold department’s name
Komatireddy urged engineers to protect the department’s credibility with the same dedication they showed while seeking promotions. “Any issue that comes to my notice will be solved without delay,” he assured.
Newly elected association leaders, including president N. Srinu, general secretary B. Rambabu, organising secretary P. Sharath Chandra, treasurer Mahender Kumar, vice-presidents K. Sandhya, Venu, and Pradeep Reddy, and joint secretaries Naveen, Kishan, and Arun Reddy, expressed gratitude. They said their long-pending concerns were resolved only after Komatireddy took charge.
