Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday inaugurated a ₹42.5 crore Advanced Training Centre (ATC) in Nalgonda, highlighting the state’s push to equip youth with skills that lead to employment.
The inauguration came after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy virtually launched 65 ATCs across Telangana. These centres developed in collaboration with TATA and funded by a ₹2,400 crore investment aim to deliver modern technical training for jobs in both government and private sectors.
Closing the education-to-employment gap
Addressing the crowd, Komatireddy said the government is pursuing a twin-track strategy: filling vacancies through TSPSC and creating private sector jobs via skill development.
“Advanced tech training gives youth a clear advantage and helps secure lasting employment,” he said.
Encouraging students to seize the opportunity, he added, “If you invest four years in learning, you can enjoy four decades of stability. Your future depends on your dedication.”
Boosting women’s training opportunities
Komatireddy also announced a ₹20 crore National Apprenticeship Center (NAC) next to the ATC. This new facility will focus exclusively on large-scale skill training for women.
He praised Nalgonda Collector Illa Tripathi and her team for earning a national award in water conservation, calling it a major win for the district.
Vocational training opens new doors
Collector Tripathi emphasized that skill training would enhance job prospects across both public and industrial sectors.
Other dignitaries at the event included MLC Nellikanti Satyam, SP Sharath Chandra Pawar, RDO Y. Ashok Reddy, District Employment Officer Padma, ATC Principal Narasimha Chary, and others.
