Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy pressed the Centre to fast-track major Telangana road projects, urging Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to step in directly.
Accompanied by Congress MPs Suresh Shetkar, Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Raghurami Reddy, and government special representative Jitender Reddy, Komatireddy submitted a memorandum in New Delhi on Tuesday demanding urgent central intervention.
The delegation focused on the proposed double-decker corridor from LB Nagar to Hayat Nagar along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway. Komatireddy underscored the need for Central backing to expedite this high-traffic project.
He also flagged delays in the proposed greenfield highway between Hyderabad and Amaravati and stressed the importance of accelerating the Regional Ring Road (RRR), a flagship infrastructure initiative of the Telangana government.
