Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Monday stressed that genuine development lies in transforming backward regions like Jukkal, where he toured and inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects.
In Kamareddy district’s Jukkal Assembly constituency, the Minister inaugurated a newly constructed high-level bridge at Thimmanagar, built for ₹4.86 crore on the Maddelacheruvu–Pitlam road. He also laid the foundation for a new road between Bichkunda and Dongli at an estimated cost of ₹13.20 crore.
The event witnessed massive participation from Congress supporters, who welcomed Komatireddy with garlands and drum beats as he joined public rallies organised by local MLA Lakshmi Kanth Rao.
Addressing a gathering, Komatireddy said the previous BRS government neglected Jukkal while favouring only a handful of families, citing KCR’s prioritisation of roads to his own farmhouse and awarding an MLC post to his daughter after defeat. He contrasted this with the Congress government’s record of creating 60,000 jobs under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He added that Rythu Bharosa payments had reached every farmer’s account within nine days, dismissing rumours to the contrary.
Komatireddy assured locals that he personally took responsibility for Jukkal’s progress and would coordinate with CM Revanth Reddy and Minister Seethakka to address the region’s needs.
