HYDERABAD, February 8: Responding to the satirical statements by the BRS leader K T Rama Rao, minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy countered expressing confidence that just as the Congress has revived in Karnataka and Telangana, it will achieve victories nationwide. He reminded KTR not to forget that the BRS secured zero seats in the recent parliamentary elections, allegedly benefiting the BJP. Reddy also accused the BRS of being the primary reason for the BJP’s growth in Telangana.
Following the recent Delhi Assembly election results, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a significant victory, K.T. Rama Rao commented on the Congress party’s performance. He sarcastically congratulated Rahul Gandhi for aiding the BJP’s win, referring to him as the party’s biggest worker.
Additionally, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar responded to KTR’s comments, suggesting that KTR seemed more pleased with the BJP’s victory than concerned about the Congress’s defeat in Delhi. He questioned whether this was due to attempts to seek leniency in legal cases. Prabhakar also criticised the BRS for not contesting the Delhi elections despite rebranding itself as a national party, implying a close relationship between the BRS and the BJP.
These exchanges highlight the ongoing political tensions and discourse following the Delhi Assembly election outcomes.
