Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday accused the Congress government of deceiving Backward Classes (BCs) by issuing a legally flawed government order on 42 percent reservations in local body elections.
Calling it a political gimmick, KTR alleged that the Congress used the GO to delay elections and distract from its governance failures. “Local body elections are long overdue. Governance at the grassroots has collapsed, and people are bearing the brunt of the Congress’s incompetence,” he said.

KTR also blamed both the state Congress and the BJP at the Centre for betraying the BC community. He warned that stalled local governance had left citizens frustrated and neglected.
He claimed the voters would not forgive the Congress for what he described as a “fake GO” and broken promises. KTR said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had misled four crore people in Telangana and betrayed the BCs. “The day of reckoning is near, and the people will teach them a lesson they won’t forget,” he added.
