Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday accused the Congress government of stalling crucial infrastructure works, citing the halted construction of 15 bridges across the Musi River.
In a post on X, KTR said the previous BRS government had sanctioned ₹545 crore in January 2022 to ease commutes for Hyderabad residents by building 15 bridges, each between 150 and 200 metres in length. He said work had begun and progressed steadily under BRS, but had slowed to a “snail’s pace” since the Congress government assumed office 20 months ago.
KTR blames Congress for delay in Musi River bridge works
KTR alleged that not a single bridge was close to completion, calling the pace of work a result of “incompetence and apathy” in the Congress administration. He said the delay had undermined a key urban mobility project and labelled the current regime as “hopeless government, hopeless governance.”
