HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of engaging in secret meetings with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. KTR referenced BJP MLA Raja Singh’s recent comments alleging that Revanth Reddy held clandestine meetings with BJP members. He criticized the Chief Minister for organizing such covert gatherings instead of conducting official meetings. KTR expressed outrage, stating that such petty politics have never before been witnessed on Telangana soil. He condemned the duplicity of appearing to oppose BJP leaders publicly while secretly collaborating with them, labeling this behavior as deplorable.
KTR challenged the Chief Minister to disclose the purpose of these secret meetings. He criticized Revanth Reddy for finding time for clandestine meetings while neglecting pressing state issues, such as farmers’ suicides due to crop failures and student deaths in gurukuls. KTR questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ability to take action against Revanth Reddy, given the latter’s exposure through Raja Singh’s comments, especially when Rahul Gandhi has previously accused BJP of infiltrating Congress. He suggested that Revanth Reddy’s engagement in secret deals with BJP indicates his insecurity about retaining his Chief Minister position, given his poor performance. KTR warned that Telangana society will not tolerate such dirty politics and will reject both Delhi-based parties.
