HYDERABAD, February 9: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has raised concerns over the recent caste census, describing it as flawed and unscientific. He has demanded a comprehensive resurvey to ensure accurate representation of various communities.
In a meeting held at Telangana Bhavan with leaders from Backward Classes (BCs), KTR highlighted significant discrepancies in the census data. He pointed out that the reported figures do not align with the ground realities, leading to potential misrepresentation of certain communities.
KTR emphasised the importance of accurate data collection, stating that policy decisions and welfare schemes rely heavily on such information. He criticised the methodology employed in the current census, labelling it as unscientific and inadequate for capturing the state’s diverse demographic landscape.
The BRS leader called upon the authorities to initiate a resurvey using more robust and scientific methods. He stressed that only through accurate data can the government ensure equitable distribution of resources and representation for all communities.
This demand underscores the ongoing debates in Telangana regarding data accuracy and its implications for social justice and policy formulation.
