KTR farmers support vow targets current government’s handling

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao farmers support message grew sharper on Tuesday as KTR said the party had protected farmers during its tenure and would address their problems again if it returned to power.

He visited the Adilabad cotton market yard and later inspected soybean and maize procurement centres in the Boath area. During the visit, he assured growers that the BRS would continue to back them. He also said the party would work on fast solutions for issues linked to procurement and prices.

KTR noted that the previous BRS government had opened village-level centres and purchased every grain brought by farmers. However, he argued that the present government failed to respond to them. As a result, growers slipped into a deeper crisis.

He added that farmers who missed minimum support price needed quick relief. The BRS, he said, planned to take their concerns across the state and highlight hardships caused by both the state and central governments.

Key assurance in KTR farmers support

KTR said the party was ready to fight for fair prices and stable procurement. He also stated that weak planning and slow action from the current administration left farmers without guidance. Because of this, the BRS aimed to restore trust among growers and give them steady support.

He stressed that the party expected to return to power. Once in office, it would focus on soybean, maize and cotton growers who continued to face uncertainty. He said farmers deserved a system that supported their labour and ensured dependable returns.
