Hyderabad: Congress MLC Addanki Dayakar on Tuesday accused BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao of disrespecting legislative institutions and challenged KTR to bring him to the Assembly if he had political courage. Responding to KTR’s press conference at Somajiguda Press Club, Dayakar said the former chief minister prefers “street drama” over parliamentary debate.
Speaking at the CLP office in Hyderabad, Dayakar said, “If you have guts, bring KCR to the Assembly. If not, sit at home like a coward.” He dismissed KTR’s political relevance, saying, “You have no stature. We are more relevant than you.”
He alleged that KTR is trying to divert public attention with theatrics because BRS has lost people’s trust. “The public has entrusted KCR with the role of Opposition leader, but he refuses to attend the Assembly. Why should Telangana suffer because of the personal issues plaguing your family?” he said.
Dayakar accused the BRS of evading legislative accountability and branded them “Assembly thieves” for staying away from House proceedings. Taking a personal swipe at KTR, he said, “The muck you’ve waded into—no doctor can cure it. You deserve to drown in it.”
