Hyderabad: BRS working president K T Rama Rao and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha marked the birth anniversary of eminent Telugu poet and Jnanpith awardee Dr. C. Narayana Reddy with tributes celebrating his unparalleled contribution to literature, song, and scholarship.
Posting on X, KTR described him as a rare literary force whose brilliance transcended form. “Poems, lyrical epics, ghazals, essays, film lyrics—whatever the medium, his pen stood unmatched. As a poet, scholar, researcher, teacher, and lyricist, he had no equal,” KTR wrote.
He called him a “priceless gem Telangana gave to world literature,” adding that his literary innovations left a lasting mark on Telugu cinema and language. “Despite the Jnanpith and many prestigious awards, despite high offices like Rajya Sabha MP, all of it stands small before his service to letters,” he said.
MLC Kavitha, also writing on X, called him a “pole star in the Telugu literary sky” and praised his work Viswambhara as a creation that took Telangana’s voice global. She said his writings carried a fragrance that resonated far beyond linguistic boundaries.
Both leaders offered literary tributes, remembering Narayana Reddy’s impact across genres and generations.
