Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K.T. Rama Rao on Friday visited former minister T. Harish Rao’s residence in Kokapet, triggering speculation as the two leaders reportedly held a closed-door meeting lasting nearly two hours.
The meeting comes at a time when reports of a growing rift between the two have been circulating in the press. KTR was said to have visited to enquire about the health of Harish Rao’s father, who was recently discharged from hospital.
However, party insiders confirmed that both leaders discussed the latest political developments and internal party matters during the interaction. Sources indicated the conversation also touched on strategies for strengthening the party in the state.
Over the past week, rumours have been circulating that Harish Rao opposed the proposal to transfer party leadership to KTR. In response, Harish Rao publicly stated he is willing to work even under KTR’s leadership.
The Friday meeting is being viewed as a key effort to signal unity amid ongoing speculation of factionalism within the party.
