Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday launched a scathing, sarcastic attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of bringing “bulldozer raj” to Telangana and selectively targeting the poor.
KTR said Rahul deserved “congratulations” for deploying bulldozers across the state in the name of enforcement, while ignoring properties owned by the rich and Congress functionaries. “It seems bulldozers have no idea where rich people or Congress leaders live,” he said, ridiculing the party’s actions.
The criticism follows a string of demolition drives that have affected working-class neighbourhoods, with accusations that evictions are politically motivated and do not affect elites. KTR charged that the bulldozer campaigns were turning into a class-specific crackdown, branding the Congress government as indifferent to equitable law enforcement.
His remarks reflect growing friction between the BRS and Congress amid ongoing civic enforcement actions in Hyderabad and surrounding districts.
Congratulations to @RahulGandhi on bringing Bulldozer Raj to Telangana
Strangely these Bulldozers don’t seem to know the address of the rich and mighty Congress leaders; Only the poor are the target pic.twitter.com/IpDxPYjQOn
