HYDERABAD, February 8: As the counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections progressed on Saturday, BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao took to social media to criticise Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. In a satirical post on X (formerly Twitter), Rama Rao sarcastically congratulated Gandhi, implying that his actions had inadvertently benefited the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This remark came as early trends indicated the BJP was leading in 41 out of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats.
Rama Rao’s comments echo his previous criticisms of Gandhi. In a 2023 news conclave, he referred to Gandhi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “biggest asset,” suggesting that the Congress party’s strategies were ineffective against the BJP.
The Delhi Assembly election results are being closely watched, with the BJP aiming to regain power in the capital after 28 years. As of now, the BJP is leading in 41 seats, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in 27, and the Congress is not leading in any seats.
As the vote counting continues, political leaders are actively engaging on social media, reflecting the high stakes and intense scrutiny surrounding the election outcomes.
Congrats to Rahul Gandhi for winning the election for BJP, yet again!
Well done 👏 https://t.co/79Xbdm7ktw
