BRS leader KTR criticises CM Revanth Reddy, alleging his political rise was built on serving others.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, calling Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan’s remarks about ‘not carrying bags’ a joke. Speaking at an event on Saturday, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy’s political journey has been shaped by serving others, claiming that he once carried bags for Chandrababu Naidu and is now doing the same for the Congress high command.
Criticism of Congress and Financial Burden
KTR accused the Congress-led Telangana government of pushing the state into financial distress, stating that it had accumulated a debt of ₹1.5 lakh crore within just a year. He questioned what development had been achieved with these funds and alleged that Congress was diverting money to Rahul Gandhi’s account instead of using it for public welfare.
Drawing a comparison with former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), KTR claimed that KCR borrowed funds to create wealth and distribute it among the people, whereas the Congress government is mismanaging state resources.
Allegations of Corruption and Administrative Failures
Further criticising the Congress government, KTR highlighted multiple infrastructural failures, including the SLBC tunnel collapse, the Pedda Vagu breach, and the submerged Vattem pump house. He alleged that these incidents were a result of Congress’s negligence and corruption.
He remarked that exposing these failures was intolerable for Revanth Reddy, adding that people are not praising him through microphones because he has not accomplished a single good deed.
Call for KCR’s Return
KTR asserted that Telangana could only progress if KCR returns as Chief Minister, urging people to acknowledge the alleged failures of the current Congress administration.
