Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, accusing it of failing not just in agriculture but also in safeguarding Telangana’s education system.
He said the Congress administration had shown neither commitment towards farmers nor responsibility towards students. With the monsoon season fast approaching, KTR pointed out that the government still lacked a clear plan for implementing the much-needed Rythu Bharosa scheme, leaving farmers in the lurch once again.
He didn’t hold back while listing out what he called the Congress government’s growing list of failures: half-hearted loan waivers, the absence of any clarity on Rythu Bharosa payouts, inaccessibility of Rythu Bima insurance, and stalled irrigation projects that once promised prosperity.
KTR contrasted this with the decade-long rule of BRS, during which, he said, agriculture in Telangana had transformed into a festival-like affair. Now, under one-and-a-half years of Congress rule, he argued, the sector was being dragged backwards.
Turning to education, he highlighted how the BRS regime had established over a thousand welfare residential schools, taking the state’s education sector to new heights. In stark contrast, he said, the present Congress government had allowed the system to slide into crisis within a short span of its rule.
