Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, describing it as a “garbage government” over the poor state of sanitation in Hyderabad and other towns. He posted photographs of overflowing trash on social media platform X while hitting out at the administration.
KTR alleged that due to lack of coordination between the municipal and health departments, city streets and town areas across Telangana were filled with garbage piles and stagnant sewage. He said seasonal diseases had spread during the monsoon, leaving government and private hospitals crowded with patients.
KTR slams Congress government as ‘garbage government’
The BRS leader pointed out that during his party’s tenure, the municipal department, GHMC, and health officials used to hold joint review meetings two months before the rainy season to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases. He accused the present government of neglecting such measures, leading to a health crisis.
KTR further charged that while citizens were suffering amid unsanitary conditions, the ruling party was focused only on collecting “RR tax” instead of addressing public concerns.
