Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused the Congress government of deceit over the Pharma City land issue, calling the diversion of lands a betrayal of farmers and a breach of electoral promises.
In a sharp attack, KTR alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who had pledged to cancel the Pharma City project and return acquired lands to farmers, has instead diverted those lands for unrelated uses.
“Congress stands exposed once again as a party of lies and deception,” KTR posted on X, calling the move “deplorable.”
He alleged that lands acquired under the Pharma City pretext were being reallocated to a so-called “Future City” through backdoor deals to benefit associates of the ruling party. “This is not just a betrayal of local farmers, but of the public and the courts,” he wrote.
KTR also accused the chief minister of orchestrating a broader pattern of land misuse, referencing alleged land grabs in Kodangal for a relative’s pharma company and in the name of ‘Anumula brothers’ under the Future City banner.
He warned that if land is reallocated, the rightful claim of farmers to reclaim their property would be irreparably harmed. He added that BRS would not remain silent if illegal allotments are made under covert agreements.
