KTR slams Congress govt over wage cuts, calls it anti-poor

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday accused the Congress government of crushing the people with low-income while favouring the elite.

He said the government cut Hydraw employees’ wages by Rs 5,000 a month. Staff at minority educational institutions lost Rs 10,000–15,000 from their salaries.

KTR questioned why Congress spent Rs 200 crore on beauty contests but could not pay poor employees their full wages.

He also attacked the government’s borrowings. According to him, loans worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore only served Delhi leaders and their allies.

KTR said he had often heard the phrase “hitting crows to feed eagles.” For the first time, he added, he was seeing it in practice under Congress rule. He shared these remarks on social media platform X.
