Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday pledged full financial support to a Warangal-based orphan student, allowing him to retain his MBBS seat, which he was at risk of losing due to lack of funds.
The student, Armulla Ganesh of Peddammagadda in Warangal West, lost his parents and siblings early in life. Raised by his grandmother, Ganesh overcame severe financial difficulties and earned a free MBBS seat at Pratima Relief Medical College. However, he could not afford the immediate payment of ₹1.5 lakh, which threatened his admission.
After activists and journalists highlighted Ganesh’s situation on social media, KTR responded quickly. He assured to cover the full cost of the student’s medical education.

Following KTR’s directions, former Government Chief Whip and BRS Hanamkonda District President Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar handed over a cheque of ₹1.5 lakh to Ganesh and his uncle Devadas. The event took place at the BRS party office in Balasamudram.
Vinay Bhaskar confirmed that BRS would support Ganesh until he completes his MBBS course. He said the gesture reflects the values upheld by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, especially in supporting education and healthcare access for the destitute.
Ganesh, moved by the timely help, expressed his gratitude. “KTR is a leader who uplifts people during their toughest moments. I sincerely thank him for taking responsibility for my education,” he said.
Additionally, Vinay Bhaskar thanked journalist Bolepaka Rajesh, Ganesh’s uncle Devadas, Pastor Swami Das, and Damera Akshay for bringing the case to KTR’s notice.
