Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao urged party cadres in flood-affected areas to immediately mobilise relief operations as heavy rains continued to inundate several low-lying localities in Telangana. He called on party leaders and workers, particularly in Warangal, Khammam and Mahabubabad districts, to stand by the public during the crisis and coordinate with local officials to provide essential assistance.
Addressing district-level party leaders, Rama Rao said BRS workers must distribute drinking water, milk, food, medicines and clothing to families marooned by floodwaters. He advised setting up medical camps wherever urgent health needs arose and stressed the importance of working alongside local government staff to speed up aid delivery.

He criticised the Congress-led state government for failing to act decisively, stating that the opposition had a greater responsibility to support citizens during emergencies. He also cautioned residents to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary, and asked that low-lying residents be moved to safer locations.
With the India Meteorological Department warning of continued heavy rainfall for the next three days, Rama Rao urged people to stay alert and avoid venturing into waterlogged areas. He raised concern over the plight of flood-hit residents in Warangal, Khammam and Mahabubabad, blaming administrative failures for worsening their hardship. He said that the BRS would stand firmly by the people and appealed to the public to remain calm and resolute.
