Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) welcomed the Supreme Court’s interim order on the Wakf Amendment Act 2025, saying the ruling curtails divisive provisions. In a post on social media platform X, he noted that the party opposed the Bill from the very beginning.
KTR vows continued fight against divisive politics
He argued that the Act used the “facade of progressiveness” to fuel polarisation. KTR thanked the Supreme Court for intervening against what he called an attempt to damage communal harmony.
The BRS leader recalled that party MPs had voted against the Bill in the Rajya Sabha and fought its passage “with all our might.” He also promised that the party would continue to resist such laws whenever needed.
“For BRS, the nation is more important than politics. We believe in a strong and united India. Jai Hind,” KTR wrote.
