HYDERABAD: Telangana’s Budget Assembly sessions commenced today with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma addressing both houses. Following the speech, BRS MLA K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) made several controversial remarks, drawing sharp criticism from PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud.
Goud expressed deep anger over KTR’s comments, stating that they demeaned the Governor’s address. He lamented that despite losing power, the arrogance of BRS leaders has not diminished. Goud demanded an immediate apology from KTR to the Governor.
Welcoming K. Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR) attendance in the Assembly as the Leader of the Opposition, Goud noted that constructive suggestions beneficial to governance and the public would be duly considered.
Earlier, during the Assembly sessions, Governor Varma spoke on Telangana’s development, governance, farmer support, and the state anthem. However, KTR accused the Governor’s speech of being filled with lies and half-truths, alleging it resembled a Congress worker’s address and that the Governor was made to utter blatant falsehoods by the Congress government.
