HYDERABAD: A horrific crime has come to light in Kushaiguda, Hyderabad, where a 70-year-old woman was murdered by a youth who then shockingly danced on her corpse and recorded the act.
The victim, identified as Kamaladevi, reportedly asked the accused—who had rented a shop from her—to pay the pending rent. This led to a heated argument between the two. On April 11, the youth strangled Kamaladevi to death inside her house.
Following the murder, in a chilling act, the accused danced over her dead body, recorded videos of the scene, and shared them with his friends. He then locked the house and fled the area.
A foul smell emanating from the house alerted the neighbours, who promptly informed the police. Upon breaking into the house, the police discovered the decomposed body and launched an investigation.
The disturbing videos of the dance on the corpse went viral in Bengaluru, which helped the police track down and detain three individuals, including the main accused. Among those detained is reportedly a minor.
The police have taken the trio into custody and further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the crime and involvement of others, if any.
