HYDERABAD: A senior advocate Venugopal Rao suffered a fatal heart attack while arguing a case in the Telangana High Court on Tuesday. Despite immediate medical attention, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
According to reports, the advocate was in the middle of presenting his arguments when he suddenly collapsed in the courtroom. Witnessing the distressing scene, fellow lawyers and court staff rushed to provide assistance and called for medical help.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors confirmed that he had passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the legal fraternity, with many advocates expressing condolences. Several lawyers have called for better emergency medical facilities within the court premises to handle such unforeseen situations.
The Telangana High Court Bar Association is expected to make an official statement regarding the incident and discuss potential measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
