Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and Rajya Sabha member K. Laxman alleged on Monday that the Congress lacked sincerity on BC reservations. He said the party had always acted against backward classes and misled people with false promises.
Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Laxman called the Congress claim of 42 percent BC reservations a fraud. He accused the government of deliberately delaying action on the issue. He demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explain why his government failed to release caste survey data.

Laxman said the state should have appointed a special commission, conducted a survey, and placed figures before the public. He added that if the government had real sincerity, it would first implement BC quota in the Cabinet. He warned that the Congress party’s false calculations would eventually be exposed in court.
