Hyderabad: Fear spread through Kadpal village in Sangareddy district after a leopard entered the area and killed a calf on Tuesday night.
Leopard kills calf in Kadpal village
Farmer Tukaram had tied his calf in a thatched shed on his field. Around midnight, a leopard entered the shed and attacked the animal. When Tukaram visited the spot on Wednesday morning, he found the calf dead and immediately informed the police and forest officials.
Forest personnel inspected the location, collected pugmarks, and confirmed the presence of a leopard in the area.
Forest department issues caution
Authorities have begun monitoring the surroundings for further leopard movement. They urged villagers to avoid walking alone, especially near farmlands after dark. The incident has triggered widespread concern across Kadpal and nearby villages.
