Hyderabad, January 29: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Lingampeta Sub-Inspector (SI) Sudhakar in Kamareddy district while accepting a bribe. He was caught red-handed at Hanuman Junction in Nizamabad district while allegedly taking ₹12,500 from a two-wheeler dealer.
According to sources, Sudhakar had demanded the bribe in connection with a case. The affected individual reported the matter to the ACB, which then set up a trap. Following their instructions, the complainant handed over the money at the designated location, leading to the SI’s immediate arrest.
This incident follows a similar case in December, when SI Arun Kumar was arrested for taking a bribe related to station bail. Sudhakar, who took over his position, was caught within just 40 days of assuming duty, drawing widespread attention.
