Hyderabad: A speeding lorry overturned near Panjagutta Metro Station early Saturday, causing severe traffic disruption across central Hyderabad.
The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. when the vehicle hit the road divider and flipped while heading from Ameerpet toward Khairatabad with a pesticide consignment. The lorry skidded across the road, blocking all lanes and triggering a major traffic jam.
According to police, the driver and cleaner escaped with minor injuries. Bundles of pesticide fell across the roadway, scattering debris and halting traffic for several kilometres.
Police teams arrived on the scene and began clearance operations with the help of a crane, removed the vehicle and restore traffic flow.
