Hyderabad: A software engineer was killed on the spot after a speeding water tanker collided with his bike in Madhapur on Wednesday. The incident occurred near Ayyappa Society on the 100-feet road while the victim was on his way to work.
The deceased, identified as 28-year-old Deepak from Mallampet, worked at a software firm in Hitec City. He was travelling from Parvat Nagar towards his office when the accident took place. As he took a turn near Ayyappa Society, a water tanker reportedly coming at high speed rammed into his motorcycle.
Deepak sustained critical injuries and died instantly at the scene.
Madhapur police arrived at the site upon receiving information and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine whether negligence was involved.
