Hyderabad: BJP leader and Hyderabad Lok Sabha in-charge Madhavi Latha launched a sharp attack on Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh on Tuesday, questioning his record within the party and his conduct in public discourse. She accused him of using the BJP name while speaking recklessly and insultingly, especially toward women and minority communities.
Speaking to media, Madhavi Latha said Singh, a former corporator, had no right to malign the party after being made MLA. “Is this Hindutva abusing women and members of other religions?” she asked.
She expressed frustration over the lack of cooperation from within the party during her Hyderabad MP campaign and alleged that Raja Singh did not support her. “He mocked me by suggesting the party couldn’t find a male candidate,” she said, adding that she secured more votes than Singh in the Goshamahal segment.
Madhavi Latha said she was not a weak candidate and claimed BJP remains strong in Telangana. She called it her fortune that the leadership is considering her as a replacement in Goshamahal. She said she was ready to contest from any constituency, including Jubilee Hills or Goshamahal, if the party asked.
