Hyderabad: A speeding vehicle rammed into Mahbubnagar DSP Venkateshwarlu’s Innova while he returned from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s tour on Thursday. The impact left him with injuries.
The collision damaged the front portion of the police Innova. DSP Venkateshwarlu suffered wounds on his face and knee. His driver, Ranga Reddy, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
DSP and driver shifted to SVS Hospital
Police teams rushed them to SVS Hospital in Mahbubnagar for immediate treatment. Doctors treating the DSP said his condition remained stable despite the injuries. They confirmed that his driver required further care due to severe wounds.
The accident occurred near Gangapur village in Jadcherla mandal. Officials said the DSP had just completed escort duty for the Chief Minister’s district visit when the crash happened. They noted that a major tragedy was narrowly missed.
