HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Mahesh Kumar Goud launched a fierce attack on BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that conducting door-to-door surveys was nothing new for KCR, describing it as an old habit. He further remarked that KCR was feeling uneasy witnessing the progress being made under the Congress government.
Mahesh Goud challenged KCR to compare the ten-year tenure of BRS with the fifteen months of Congress rule. He declared, “Choose the time and place, and I am ready for a debate. Does KCR have the courage to step out of his farmhouse and engage in a public debate?”
He also criticised KCR’s family, accusing them of harming Telangana’s development and misusing public resources. Mahesh Goud pointed out that during KCR’s government, women’s representation was weak, and the lack of public participation in KCR’s recent speech was evident.
Mahesh Kumar Goud further alleged that under KCR’s administration, public issues were neglected and only personal interests were prioritised.
His comments came in response to KCR’s statements made a day earlier during a public meeting held as part of the BRS silver jubilee celebrations, where KCR had harshly criticised the Congress government, calling its style of governance ineffective for the people.
