HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud will lead a large protest outside the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Hyderabad on Thursday, April 17. The demonstration is being organised to denounce what the Congress calls a political vendetta by the BJP-led central government.
The protest will begin at 10 a.m. and comes in response to the inclusion of senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the charge sheet related to the National Herald case. The TPCC, under Mahesh Kumar Goud’s leadership, alleges that the ED’s actions are part of a wider effort by the BJP to target the opposition through central agencies.
Mahesh Kumar Goud has strongly condemned the BJP’s approach, stating that it is an abuse of power aimed at silencing democratic voices. He emphasised that the Congress will not be intimidated and will continue to raise its voice against injustice.
In addition to the protest at the ED office, TPCC has directed all District Congress Committees (DCCs) across the state to hold parallel demonstrations at their respective district headquarters on the same day.
The TPCC has called upon party leaders, workers, and supporters to join the protest in large numbers, making it a powerful show of solidarity against what they describe as the BJP’s undemocratic tactics and misuse of investigative agencies.
