Hyderabad: BJP Legislature Party leader and Nirmal MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy has demanded that the Nirmal Municipality immediately stop collecting fees from small vendors under the ongoing Tai Bazaar system.
Addressing reporters on Friday, the MLA said the scheme was causing hardship to small traders operating in the town. He urged vendors not to pay any fees, calling the charges unfair and unnecessary.

Maheshwar Reddy said he had spoken to the Nirmal district collector, additional collector, and other senior officials. He requested them to cancel the existing tender process linked to Tai Bazaar operations in the town.
He further stated that small vendors should be allowed to continue their businesses without paying any municipal levies going forward. “The goal must be to ensure business continuity for these traders, not burden them,” he said.
