Maheshwar Reddy slams BRS, Congress over scams and false promises

erHyderabad: BJP floor leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy on Sunday sharply criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for his comments on the BJP. He described the remarks as both ironic and baseless.

Responding to KTR’s jibe that the BJP is a flower unworthy of worship, Maheshwar Reddy said the public had already “sent the car to the shed,” referring to the BRS election symbol. He noted that BRS failed to win even a single seat in the last Lok Sabha elections.

He accused the BRS of being involved in multiple scams, particularly the liquor scam. According to him, the party had no moral ground to criticise others. He asserted that people rejected the BRS due to its poor performance and broken promises.

Maheshwar Reddy slams BRS and Congress for misleading the public

Shifting focus to the Congress, Maheshwar Reddy said the party had misled voters with its so-called six guarantees. He alleged that corruption during its rule amounted to several thousand crores.

The BJP lead also questioned the Congress government’s commitment to agriculture. He asked what concrete policies had been implemented to benefit farmers since the party took power.

Maheshwar Reddy concluded by stating that both the BRS and Congress had betrayed public trust. In contrast, he said, the BJP remained committed to transparent governance and real accountability.
