Man held for knife attack in Nizamabad’s Habeebnagar, sent to judicial custody

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old man was taken into judicial custody in connection with a knife attack that left a local electrician injured in Nizamabad’s Habeebnagar area.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on 20 May in Habeebnagar, under the jurisdiction of the One Town Police Station. The accused, identified as Sheikh Harshad, a resident of Dharmapuri Hills and employed as a labourer, allegedly stabbed Sheikh Shahbaath, 24, during an altercation. Shahbaath, who works as an electrician and lives in the same locality, sustained injuries in the attack.

Officers from the One Town Police Station apprehended Harshad and produced him before a magistrate. He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

The case is being investigated under the supervision of Inspector B. Raghupati of the One Town Police Station.
