Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man was killed by his brother in an alleged property dispute at Barkas under Chandrayangutta police limits on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Salaam Bafana. His younger brother, Mohsin Bafana, allegedly attacked him with sharp weapons following a quarrel over ancestral property.
According to police, the two brothers had a history of disputes over property and had been frequently arguing. On Thursday, a fresh argument reportedly escalated into a physical attack.
Salaam died on the spot due to severe bleeding injuries. Mohsin fled after the assault.
Police from Chandrayangutta station reached the scene and initiated an investigation. A CLUES team collected forensic evidence from the site.
The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem.
