Hyderabad: A man was stabbed to death by his father-in-law in Telangana’s Mahbubabad district late Tuesday night after a heated exchange over his estranged wife. The incident took place in Dharmaram Tanda, according to Mahbubabad Rural CI Sarvayya.
The deceased, 35-year-old L. Bala from Maharashtra, had married Monika from Dharmaram Tanda. The couple had two sons. Following a recent domestic dispute, Monika left her marital home and returned to her parents’ house.
Around 9 pm, Bala arrived to reconcile and take Monika back. An argument broke out between him and his father-in-law, Veeranna. In a fit of rage, Veeranna allegedly attacked Bala with a knife.
Bala, critically injured, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries around midnight. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
